STRATEGIC ALLIANCES AND NEW ACTORS IN INTERNATIONAL HIGHER EDUCATION
Universidad Anáhuac México was founded in 1964 as a fundamental part of the educational project of the Regnum Christi Movement, with the objective of elevating the human and social condition of Mexican men and women through a comprehensive education. Currently, Universidad Anáhuac México has two campuses in Mexico City, 18 Schools and Faculties and is positioned as one of the best private universities in the country. We are part of a national and international network of universities comprised by:
1. 10 universities nationwide.
2. 5 universities abroad:
a. Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (Spain)
b. Universitá Europea di Roma (Italy)
c. Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum (Italy)
d. Universidad Finis Terrea (Chile)
e. Divine Mercy University (US)
We are a university connected to the world, with agreements with institutions in 45 countries and membership of more than 50 international associations.
This year we will begin our 60th anniversary celebrations by hosting this great event.
Mexico City is the largest urban center in the country and one of the most important cities in the Latin American and North American region.
It is currently the main political, academic, economic, fashion, financial, business and cultural center of Mexico, as it is home to the three branches of government, 35 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Mexican Stock Exchange and more than 500,000 companies according to INEGI.
It is located in the Valley of Mexico at an altitude of 2,240 meters and has an area of 1,485 square kilometres, divided into 16 boroughs with a rich cultural diversity.
Universidad Anáhuac México is located in the middle of two of the most important economic and investment centres of our country:
1. Santa Fe
2. Interlomas
They are located in the borough of Álvaro Obregón (south campus) and the municipality of Huixquilucan in the State of Mexico (north campus). Our campuses have a wide range of restaurants, shopping centers and hotels less than 10 minutes away.
Mexico City has a total population of 9 million people, but this number rises to more than 21 million if the population of the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico is taken into account.
The average annual temperature is 16°C; however, mild temperatures are expected during the days of the conference; the maximum temperature is 23°C and the minimum is 18°C.
We recommend you to consult and monitor the weather in the following link
The dress code will be formal. It is recommended that light layers of clothing be worn. Temperatures are usually cool in the morning on both campuses, while in the afternoons it is usually warmer and finally in the evenings the temperature drops again. Since it is the month of September, it is very likely that we will have rain.
The country's capital city has a strategic location and a large number of tourist and business visitors, which allows national and international visitors to easily find air or land routes to reach the city.
The Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico has three airports with international and domestic arrivals and departures: Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City, Felipe Angeles International Airport and Toluca International Airport. Due to its location, we recommend the use of Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport or Toluca International Airport.
We likewise have 4 bus stations: Central del Norte Bus Station, Central del Sur Bus Station in Taxqueña, Central Poniente Bus Station in Observatorio and Central del Oriente Bus Station. We recommend using the Central de Autobuses de Observatorio as it is the closest to the host hotels and university facilities.
Mexico City has 12 subway lines. The closest route to Campus Sur is to take line 3 to Miguel Ángel de Quevedo station and from there, take the Passenger Transportation Network (RTP) Miguel Ángel de Quevedo - Santa Fe route to Universidad Anáhuac Sur station. To get to the North Campus by public transportation, we recommend arriving at Santa Fe station by the aforementioned route and taking a taxi/Uber or similar to the university.
Universidad Anáhuac Mexico is located in Interlomas (North Campus) and Olivar de los Padres (South Campus). These areas are high traffic areas, so it is recommended to take precautions and leave at least one hour in advance from your hotels or residences.
Likewise, the use of alternate roads and toll roads speeds up the transfer, so we recommend having a toll collection device such as TAG or IAVE in case of using a car to access the Super Via.
Mexico City is the country's cultural reference point, where the country's cultural collections and scenic artistic displays are concentrated, fused, evolved and preserved. In the city's cultural venues, you can enjoy plays, dance recitals, film screenings, temporary exhibitions, performances, etc.
Mexico City is one of the three cities with the most museums on the planet, the official list quantifies 185 museums; there are also many fascinating precincts that do not fall within this official list.
