1)    COIL DESIGN WORKSHOPS

This asynchronous online workshop is oriented to provide participants with all the knowledge and tools required to offer a COIL course. It includes the main aspects of the COIL methodology as well as coaching from experts to design the COIL component to be implemented simultaneously in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

COIL design workshops are 4-week long, with asynchronous access to the educational platform and weekly live sessions, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Mexico City time) for interacting with instructors and other participants.  In addition, participants are able to communicate anytime with instructors for individual advice. At the end of the workshop, participants must present the complete design of activities to be accomplished during the COIL component.

 Participants must have a trilateral/bilateral teaching team to be accepted into these workshops. It is recommended to participate in this workshop during the academic term before the COIL component is offered. All the members of the same COIL teaching team must participate in the same COIL Design workshop.

 At the end of the workshop, participants receive a certificate for their participation. Trilateral/bilateral COIL teaching teams receive a scholarship to participate in the training program thanks to the support provided by our sponsors.
